Courtney is top Avinger graduate

AVINGER –Avinger Schools has announced their graduating class of 2018, and John David Courtney is their top graduate. Courtney is the son of Danny Moore and April Hall, and was active in sports while at Avinger.

He was on the basketball team for four years and was a part of the 2016 State Championship team that was known as the “Magnificent 7.” He also ran track for two years and cross country one year. Courtney was also astute in his studies while at Avinger, maintaining a spot on the A-B Honor Roll. Upon graduation, he plans to attend Texas State Technical College in Marshall where he will work towards an Associates of Appiled Science degree with a welding certification.
