Daingerfield, TX— Daingerfield State Park has been the place for summer fun for almost 80 years and this summer may be our best ever. We have a lot of fun and educational programs and events scheduled for the month of June. Starting Saturday, June 2 through Saturday, June 30 the park will host 16 programs focused on family fun and learning about our natural world. The park will conduct ranger led hikes summiting Iron Hill which winds through the “Cathedral of the Trees” to one of the highest points in East Texas as night falls. Also during June, you will have a chance to fish with a Ranger, paddle boarding classes with a Ranger exploring the lake ( free with paid park entrance permit), aquatic nature program where visitors net and help identify underwater life plus have fun making nature art scheduled for kids at heart. To bring each fun packed Saturday to a fitting conclusion, we will host a Dance with classics from our vintage jukebox from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. The first Saturday night of the month will be our Karaoke Dance.
