The Texas Forest Trail Region and the Texas Brazos Trail and the Texas Brazos Trail Region will hold DIY.Design, a visual communication workshop, in Hughes Springs on Monday, Oct. 28, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The newly constructed Legacy Event Center has been selected as the location for this workshop.
DIY.Design is co-hosted by the city of Hughes Springs.
“We are proud to partner with the Texas Forest and Brazos Trails to bring this workshop to Hughes Springs,” Hughes Springs City Secretary and a Texas Forest Trail Region board member George Fite said. “Our world is becoming increasingly more visual.
Making the right impression can mean success or failure for a small business, and hiring a graphic designer isn’t always an option. Sometimes, you just have to do it yourself.”
DIY.Design will focus on design basics such as best practices, tools, tips and resources for communicating information visually. Topics will include elements of good design, photo editing and publication layout and vector graphics. Attendees of this workshop will leave with a fundamental understanding of visual communication, inexpensive resources, tips and strategies for producing highly effective communication. Workshop presenters are executive directors Marty Prince of the Texas Forest Trail Region and Emily Lutz of the Texas Brazos Trail.
