Genealogy society meets Oct. 21

The Franklin County Genealogy Society will get into the Halloween spirit with the October regular meeting.  Haunted houses, premonitions, and strange happenings in Franklin County will be revisited.  In 1999 FCGS presented a program with Linda Tinsley, Doris Meek and Warren Penn relating stories of their experiences of paranormal events.  This video recording will be replayed along with others rendering or reciting stories of weird and hair-raising events in Franklin County.
The meeting will be Oct. 21 at 7 p.m. The FCGS library is located at 110 Main St. in Mount Vernon on the south side of the square.  Everyone is invited; membership is not required for attendance.  A business meeting will follow a short fellowship and refreshment period.
