Resident thinks change is long overdue

Dear Editor;
I grew up in East Texas and was an average kid. I had a girlfriend, had fairly good grades in school and could have gone to college, but I chose to serve my country and defend freedom. I served 12 years in the US Marine Corps, including 23 months in Southeast Asia (Viet-Nam) and was honorably discharged in 1972.I am now a senior citizen residing in Daingerfield.
I still believe in the oath I took when I swore allegiance to this great nation and its flag. I believe this qualifies me to speak my mind.
I am not a Democrat, Republican, Conservative or a Liberal.
I am an American realist.
I have opinions that support all sides and opinions against all sides. I am very opinionated and vocal.
My days of walking on “pins and needles” are over; the days of worrying about feelings have ended.
It’s time to step on some toes and take our country back.
I don’t care what political party you support, I think there is something very un-American about using the brute force of the government to bully someone.
And, this Obamacare thing is one example of what I’m talking about.
