Lady Tigers season ends with loss

The Daingerfield Lady Tiger volleyball season came to an end with a five-set loss Tuesday as the Blue Tigers fell at Paul Pewitt, 25-14, 22-25, 11-25, 25-18 and 15-6.
Daingerfield was able to earn a convincing win in the opening set before dropping a close one in the second. It was the Lady Brahmas’ turn to win big in the the third set but the Lady Tigers rallied to win the fourth set and force and fifth-and-deciding final set. It was all Pewit in the fifth set as the Lady Brahamas got the win.
Cassidy Shaver led the Lady Tiger effort with 11 kills and two blocks in the loss while Deandra Hanson and Alexis Porter each added six kills in the contest. Kiyuna Williams also had five kills, as did Jettia Bradley.
