Services for Charles Richard O’Dell, 80 of Daingerfield will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 19, at the Bradfield Chapel Methodist Church with Jerry Irvin officiating. Interment will be in the Bradfield Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Nail-Haggard Funeral Home.
Mr. O’Dell was born on July 22, 1933, in Daingerfield to Ernest and Cleo O’Dell and died on Nov. 15, in Longview.
He was a member of Bradfield Chapel Methodist Church and was retired from Lone Star Steel.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Barbara Phillips.
Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Jon Miller of Longview; son, Gary O’Dell of Minot, N.D.; brother and sister-in-law, Dwain and B J O’Dell of Hughes Springs; grandchildren, Logan and Ellen Miller of Longview, Joshua Miller of Longview, Ashlyn Miller of Longview, Tiffany O’Dell of Texarkana, Jesse O’Dell of Daingerfield and Garrett O’Dell of Minot; great-grandchildren, Karsen Nelson, Karter Pollan, Kennedi Northam and Kodi Howell; and nieces, Connie Schexsnayder, Kay Schexsnayder and Kelly Kennedy.
Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
