Daingerfield Junior High takes fifth place

The Daingerfield Junior High School math team and South Elementary School’s fifth grade math team competed Nov. 2 at the Pine Tree math-science meet. The two teams together placed fifth overall and had several students in the top 10.
Seventh grade Zach Gilmore placed seventh in Number Sense and Hannah Welch placed tenth. Sixth grader Justice Dorman placed second; fifth grader Natalie Beasley placed third; while Laura Carter and Jennifer Evans tied at tenth place.
Zach placed second; Jansen Laney placed fifth; Justin Bailey placed sixth; and Hannah placed seventh in Calculator.
Also in Calculator, Justice placed first, Victor Gonzalez placed fourth, Jamie Nix placed sixth;and Riley Scholl placed tenth.
Justice placed fourth in General Math.
Kiara Robinson placed eighth in Science while Justice captured tenth.
Also competing were Hailey Byrd, Ryan Lewis, Jaycee Bailey, Breanna Kyle, Alivia Ragsdale and Ebony Chalk.
