Sign-ups for county positions continue

Sign-ups for county positions on the primary ballot will continue through Dec. 9. The primary election is March 4, 2014.
In Cass and Morris counties positions open are for county clerk, district clerk, treasurer, county judge, commissioners of Precinct 2 and Precinct 4, justices of the peace, and district judge of the 276th Judicial District. In Cass County the position of criminal district attorney is also open.
In Cass County on the Democratic ticket, those signing up to run are Precinct 2 Justice of the Peace Gina Bassham, County Clerk Jannis Mitchell, Tina Richardson for district attorney and Precinct 2 Commissioner Danny Shaddix.
Signing up in Morris County on the Democratic ticket are Ricky Tigert for Commissioner of Precinct 4, Steve Williams as Justice of the Peace for Precinct 2, Gwen Oney for district clerk, and Lynda Munkres for county judge.
