Harris brings home Texas 2013 Player of the Year Award

Nineteen years after taking up the game of horseshoe, Ed Harris of Daingerfield has added numerous trophies and awards to his large collection.
The most recent award was captured when he was named the Texas 2013 Player of the Year by the Texas Horseshoe Pitching Association (THPA) in Cameron on Oct. 12. He placed second in A Class Elders State Singles, losing by 3 points to his friend, Ed Arionius, who is the current National Horseshoe Pitchers Association World Champion.
