Dinners, dancing on menus for Valentine’s Day in area

The Legacy, an Event Center, will be the scene of a Valentine’s Day dinner and dance on Friday, Feb. 14 from 6:30 to 10 p.m.
Tables are available that seat six people. Reservations may be made to reserve a table for a party of six in advance. Otherwise, seating will be on a first come, first serve basis. Tickets will be available at Hughes Springs City Hall, the Med Shop and North East Texas Credit Union.
Alcoholic beverages are permitted but are not provided. For further information, call the Hughes Springs Chamber of Commerce at 903-639-2351 or Hughes Springs City Hall at 903-639-7519.
Lone Star Volunteer Fire Department will hold its first Firemen’s Valentine Day Charity Dinner. It will be Friday, Feb. 14, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Lone Star Baptist Encampment dining facility. “The facility overlooks Lone Star Lake with an excellent view, particularly as the sun is setting,” Mayor Karl Stoermer said. “It will be a special evening of elegant dining in a romantic setting for you and your Valentine. Your ticket will provide a donation and a dinner to include steak, home-fried potatoes, a vegetable, dessert and a drink.”
