Hughes Springs’ junior high students capture second place

The Hughes Springs Junior High One Act Play competed Jan. 22, in the District University Interscholastic League competition at Pleasant Grove High School. They performed scenes from “Gooney Bird Greene and Her True Life Adventures.”
They competed against four other schools including Queen City Middle School, Redlick Middle School, Paul Pewitt Junior High, and Redwater Junior High. Hughes Springs’ students were awarded second place. Redwater was awarded first place.
