Construction manager hired for classroom additions

Classroom addition plans are taking shape as the Hughes Springs Independent School District board of trustees learned the building estimate for new elementary classrooms is $850,000 to $965,000.  The board met Feb. 10.
Previously the board granted Superintendent Rick Ogden authority to hire a construction manager. “Weiland – Davco has been hired as the construction manager for the project,” Mr. Ogden said. “They have an estimate of what the project will cost. They will handle hiring contractors for each aspect of the construction. They will give us a final price next month on what the project will cost.
