Area schools celebrated Texas Public Schools Week March 5-9 with an open house and classroom visitations at the schools.
The Mount Pleasant High School band performed at the Hughes Springs Chamber of Commerce banquet.
Renovations are made at the Morris Theatre. The theatre will feature two giant screen, modern sound and projection equipment, in addition to a large concession area.
