Not all races settled in primary; some candidates to meet May 27

Not all final decisions on the future of candidates were meted out at the March 4 primary election as both Cass County and Morris County will be holding a runoff election on May 27.
In Cass County there will be a runoff for District Clerk between Jamie Price Albertson (R) with 1,347 votes and Pam Jaynes (R) with 1,230 votes. Jessica R. Fitts (R) will not be included as she received 931 votes.
Randal Lee (R) handily won the Republican District Attorney Race with 2,270 votes, compared to John McIntyre’s (R) 1,140 votes and Tina Richardson’s (D) 624 votes. Becky Wilbanks (R) captured the county judge seat with 2,230 votes. George Fite (R) garnered 1,024 votes, while Joe Harrison (R) had 434 votes.
Jamie O’Rand (R) received 2,766 votes for county clerk, and Jannis Mitchell (D) received 644 votes.
In the Precinct 2 Commissioner’s race, Jon Borseth (R) garnered 728 votes and Danny Joe Shaddix (D) had 141 votes.
