Purchases and upgrades are approved for Hughes Springs Independent School District

Upgrades and replacements were approved at the Hughes Springs Independent School District board of trustees April 14 meeting.
The board approved the purchase of computer parts from Maxgroup for $16,125.25.
“Our tech guys will build the computers and replace a lab at the junior high school,” Superintendent Rick Ogden said.
Also approved was a quote for $10,825 from Beles Painting to paint the new classrooms in progress at the elementary school.
A bid for flooring from Larry’s Interiors in Kilgore to replace the flooring at the elementary that was removed last year in plumbing work was approved at a cost of $15,228.
A quote from Morrison Supply for $21,446.04 to replace air conditioning units at the high school and junior high was approved. David Hinerman will perform the work, according to Mr. Ogden.
 A bid from Pasco for cafeteria equipment for the planned satellite cafeteria at the elementary was also approved at a cost of $46,628. This will be ready for the next school year.
The board approved the price range for the multipurpose building and new ag building.
