Farmer’s Market will be held Friday

The Northeast Texas Community College will hold a Farmer’s Market Friday, June 6, beginning at 9 a.m. A variety of vendors will be here to provide fresh herbs, greens, pastured pork, honey, jams and jellies, farm fresh eggs, beautiful plants, and other handmade, homemade and homegrown products. NTCC will be selling its natural compost tea to help you to produce some healthy vegetables, hay crop, or even grass in your yard – all the natural way. If you are looking for pullets – there are chicks, all 6 weeks old – buy early and save just $4 each.
There are vendor spaces still available at no charge and we have both inside and outside spaces. We also welcome non-profit groups and churches interested in raising money or handcrafted items.
This market menu will feature Northeast grass fed beef burger deals for a burger, chips and a drink, serving at 11 a.m. until gone. For each market, NTCC will be showcasing the newest veggies as they begin to get ripe – come by and taste the difference that farm fresh makes. Our Farming in a Minute tip at the Lunch and Learn program will be Tips on Growing Better Tomato and will begin at noon – check out the calendar events at www.ntcc.edu.ag/ for a complete list of all the Farming in a Minute Topics.
