College to host medication aide course

Northeast Texas Community College will host a medication aide course this summer beginning Monday, June 9. This course is 144 hours and provides instruction in preparation administration of designated medications by non-licensed nursing personnel employed in licensed health care agencies. It also teaches the responsibilities associated with such administration. There will be two orientation sessions.
The first class will be Tuesday, May 27 at 6 p.m. in BT 103 (main NTCC campus) and the second is Friday, May 30 at 9 a.m. in BT 103.
