Music City Texas
Music City Texas Theater Presents Wade Bowen on June 21. For tickets, call 903-756-9934 Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The theater is located at 108 Legion St. in Linden. Check the web site at www.musicitytexas.org.
Bingo
Bingo will be held Saturday evenings at 6 p.m. at the Old Ice House, at 106 W. Scurry in Daingerfield. The public is invited.
Lawn and Garden
The lawn and garden committee will meet June 19 at the Daingerfield First United Methodist Church at 5 p.m. Guest speakers will be Robert Grant, Larry Brown and Aaron Harding. Topics will be rainwater harvesting and keyhole gardening.
Summer FeedingProgram
Daingerfield-Lone Star Independent School District is having a free summer breakfast and lunch for children under the age of 18. Breakfast is from 7:30 to 8:15 a.m. and lunch is from 11 a.m. to noon at South Elementary, Lunch will also be at the Daingerfield City Park and the Lone Star City Park, both at 11 a.m., and Lone Star Country Square Apartments at 11:30 a.m.
Football Camp
Daingerfield Tiger Football Camp will be held June 9 through 12 from 8 to 9:15 a.m. for third through fifth grades; and from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. for sixth grade through ninth grade.
4-H Day Camp
Cass County 4-H Day Camp will be held June 7 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Cass County Cowboy Church at 7701 Highway 59 South in Atlanta. There will be ATV safety, fun with plants, horseback riding, geocaching and nutrition/healthy living. For further information, call the Cass County Extension Office at 903-756-5391.
Basketball Camp
The Daingerfield Tiger Basketball Camp for boys and girls ages 8 through 14 will be held at the High School gym June 16 – 19, from 8:30 a.m. to noon. For further information, call Coach Curtis Lewis at 903-645-2409 or 903-573-0097.
Reunion
The descendants of O.W. and Annie Lou Stevens will be having their annual family reunion on Saturday, June 7, beginning at 10:30 a.m. at Church on the Rock in Daingerfield. Bring a covered dish for lunch. All family and friends are welcome.
Daingerfield Library
Story time at the Daingerfield Library will be held June 10 – July 17 from 10 to 10:30 a.m. There will be a pint size polka held June 12 at 10 a.m. at the Morris County Courthouse Annex.
Hughes Springs Library
There will be a summer reading program at the Hughes Springs Library beginning June 10 on Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m. On Thursday, June 12, at 10:30 a.m. Happy the Clown will entertain with magic tricks and free balloon creations for all.
