Albertson wins Cass County District Clerk runoff race

In the lone county runoff race for Cass County District Clerk, Jamie Price Albertson-R captured 1,043 votes for a total of 53.85 percent over Pam Jaynes-R’s 894 votes or 46.15 percent.
 
Incumbent Rep. Ralph M. Hall-R lost his bid for another term in the House of Representatives when he received 47.18 percent of the votes. Challenger John Ratcliffe-R won the primary with 52.81 percent of the votes. In Cass County, Mr. Hall captured 834 votes or 43.66 percent, while in Morris County he received 108 votes or 53.20 percent. Mr. Ratcliffe captured 1,076 votes or 56.33 percent in Cass County and 95 votes or 46.79 percent in Morris County.
 
In the race for Lieutenant Governor, incumbent David Dewhurst-R lost his bid with 34.95 percent of the votes. Challenger Dan Patrick- R received 65.04 percent of the votes. Cass County voters handed Mr. Dewhurst 955 votes or 52.35 percent and in Morris County he received 94 votes with 46.53 percent. Mr. Patrick captured 869 votes of 47.64 percent of the votes in Cass County, while in Morris County he had 108 votes or 53.56 percent.
 
Ken Paxton-R captured 63.61 percent of the votes for the attorney general race, compared to Dan Branch-R’s 36.38 percent. In Cass County Mr. Paxton received 659 votes or 38.71 percent and in Morris County he received 117 votes or 61.57 percent. Mr. Branch received 659 votes in Cass County or 38.71 percent, while in Morris County he received 73 votes or 38.42 percent.
