Community Supper
Jenkins Community and the Jenkins Volunteer Fire Department will have free sandwiches and homemade ice cream at 6 p.m., June 21, at the community building next to the fire station.
 
Music City Texas
Music City Texas Theater Presents Wade Bowen on June 21. For tickets, call 903-756-9934 Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The theater is located at 108 Legion St. in Linden. Check the web site at www.musicitytexas.org.
 
Bingo
Bingo will be held Saturday evenings at 6 p.m. at the Old Ice House, at 106 W. Scurry in Daingerfield. The public is invited.
 
Lawn and Garden
The lawn and garden committee will meet June 19 at the Daingerfield First United Methodist Church at 5 p.m. Guest speakers will be Robert Grant, Larry Brown and Aaron Harding. Topics will be rainwater harvesting and keyhole gardening.
 
Summer Feeding Program
Daingerfield-Lone Star Independent School District is having a free summer breakfast and lunch for children under the age of 18. Breakfast is from 7:30 to 8:15 a.m. and lunch is from 11 a.m. to noon at South Elementary, Lunch will also be at the Daingerfield City Park and the Lone Star City Park, both at 11 a.m., and Lone Star Country Square Apartments at 11:30 a.m.
 
Basketball Camp
The Daingerfield Tiger Basketball Camp for boys and girls ages 8 through 14 will be held at the High School gym June 16 – 19, from 8:30 a.m. to noon. For further information, call Coach Curtis Lewis at 903-645-2409 or 903-573-0097.
 
Movies in the Park
“Here Comes the Boom” will be shown Friday, June 20, with “Unstoppable” shown on Saturday, June 21, at Spring Park next to the city hall offices in Hughes Springs.
 
Daingerfield Library
Story time at the Daingerfield Library will be held Tuesdays through July 17 from 10 to 10:30 a.m.
 
Hughes Springs Library
There will be a summer reading program at the Hughes Springs Library on Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m. Installation Service
There will be installation services for Pastor Robert G. Nance Jr. of The New Birth Baptist Church on Sunday, June 29, at 3 p.m. at the Morris County Courthouse Annex.
