On June 22 Deputy Ken Thomas was dispatched to a disturbance in the area of County Road 3112, according to Morris County Sheriff Jack Martin.
“Deputy Thomas arrived on County Road 3112, brought the scene to order, and began to  investigate to determine what had happened,” Sheriff Martin said. During Deputy Thomas’ investigation, he  determined that Holly Ann Baxter, 29, of Daingerfield, intentionally and repeatedly rammed the vehicle ofanother person, while children were present in both her vehicle and the vehicle of her intended victim. “After Deputy Thomas conducted his investigation, he placed Ms. Baxter under arrest for three counts of endangering a child, which is a state jail felony.”
State jail felonies are punishable by 180 days to two years in a state jail facility and a maximum fine of $10,000. State jail facilities are operated by the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. State jail sentences are unique in that persons incarcerated in a state jail facility cannot be released early for good behavior.
