The Landing Event Services announces its grand opening to host private and corporate community events to benefit the local non-profit organization, Hope Ministries of Northeast Texas. The Landing is a newly renovated 5,000 square foot facility equipped to host weddings, receptions, special events, business meetings, birthday celebrations and family reunions.

“The Landing serves a dual purpose: to provide a beautiful indoor venue for people to hold private parties or business meetings and to serve the families at Hope Ministries,” says Judy Capps, owner of The Landing Event Services and founder of Hope Ministries of Northeast Texas. “Proceeds from the building rental will benefit ongoing work at Hope Ministries, which transforms the lives of single parents and their children.” The Landing Event Services offers a rental venue for individuals, families and businesses within the community as well as a resource and learning center to families at Hope Ministries.

Inspired by her faith and a growing need within the community, Judy Capps began helping women in 2010 and founded Hope Ministries of Northeast Texas in January 2013. The organization established its 501c3 status in May 2013.

“We create an environment and opportunity for women to heal, overcome hurdles, to grow in their walk with the Lord, develop life skills and further their education,” said Mrs. Capps. “Women come to Hope out of brokenness and desperation for a better life. God has blessed us to be a blessing to others.” Single parents benefit from affordable transitional housing, education and training to provide life skills for them to live a balanced and abundant life. The need for services provided by Hope Ministries is continually increasing, and additional funding will aid in the future expansion and development of the ministry. In 2014, Judy and Steve Capps purchased the former Texas Workforce Commission building in Mount Pleasant and remodeled it into a new facility to host special events. They purchased the building and opened

The Landing as a way to provide a new location for events, which will aid in funding the mission of Hope Ministries.
