Commissioners request legislative support health treatments for veterans

In an effort to better assist veterans, the Morris County Commissioners approved a resolution advocating hyperbaric oxygen therapy and other medical treatments and therapy for traumatic brain injury and post traumatic stress disorder. The resolution was approved at the July 14 meeting of the commissioners. “This resolution urges Texas legislators to provide funding for these treatments for the veterans,” Morris County Judge Lynda Munkres said.
The commissioners approved accepting subdivision rules and regulations for Morris County.
“This will enable us to get money from the state water board,” Judge Munkres said. “You have to have subdivision rules before you can get water. This is a prerequisite to them applying for a grant. This resolution is very standard and covers roads, etc.”
The commissioners approved a request from the city of Daingerfield to condemn a building at 704 Webb St. in Daingerfield. The building, once housing Mother and Daughter Beauty Salon, had burned.
