Local artists vie for East Texas Music Awards

The final round of voting has started for the “East Texas Music Awards” (www.etxmusic.com) and will continue through Aug. 16. Several local artists are on the final ballot, as follows: Blues Band of the Year – Wes Jeans. Country Band of the Year - Captain Joe. Rock Band of the Year – Cullen Baker Rock. Female Vocalist of the Year - Julia Beers. Bassist of the Year – Paul Tyson (Captain Joe). Guitarist of the Year – Mike Petty (Captain Joe). Drummer / Percussionist of the Year - David Tyson (Captain Joe). Keys of the Year – Chip Bricker. Producer of the Year – Frank Pryor.
Even if you voted in Round 1, you will need to vote again. You may vote only once per email address. After you submit your vote, you will no longer be able to see the ballot. Performers will be selected from the final round of votes and winners will be announced Friday, Sept. 19, during the red carpet event to be held in the Tyler area.
