An update on the construction of the ground storage tank in Daingerfield was given to the board of directors of the Northeast Texas Municipal Water District at its July 28 meeting. Joncie Young of KSA Engineers talked about the 750,000-gallon concrete ground storage tank.
“The tank is in operation and the cost of the tank was approximately 33 percent below budget,” Mr. Young said. “The tank is already showing benefits in the pipeline system by reducing the swings in pressure inside the pipeline.
“Since the concrete bank became operational, the pressure within the pipeline is routinely in the 35 pounds per square inch range. The tank would likely be finished completely within the budgeted time frame.”
