Shawna Russell opens Bea Hive Beauty Salon

A third generation hair stylist has opened a beauty shop in Hughes Springs. Shawna Russell opened the Bea Hive Beauty Salon located at 101 W. Third St. in Hughes Springs, following a traditionof styling hair by her mother and her grandmother.
“The salon features haircuts, highlights, all-over color, perms, waxing, deep conditioning, massage, facials, manicures and eyelash extensions,” Miss Russell said. “This is a third generation hair salon. My mom, Sherry Russell, has held her license for 32 years and grandmother, Bea Frazier, has held her license for 50 years. They also work in the salon.
Robin Alexander, a massage therapist, is located at the beauty shop. “Robin studied massage at A Touch for Health in Texarkana, Ark. and is certified to do sports massages,” Miss Russell said.
Miss Russell graduated from Hughes Springs High School in 2007.
