Emergency medical services vehicle to be based in Hughes Springs

Approval for an emergency medical services vehicle to be housed in Hughes Springs was approved by the Hughes Springs City Council at its Aug. 19 meeting. Arnie Spiers, an official with Champion Emergency Medical Services, spoke to the council. 
“I met with you a few months ago,” Mr. Spiers said. “The board made the proposal to accept the offer made with the city of Hughes Springs with the obligations we talked about. I went over this with George Fite, city secretary. We renewed the contract with those specifications in the contract and are here to say that we will offer its service with the building and the quick response vehicle being housed in Hughes Springs.”
