Blythe cleans up Lone Star Park

Childhood memories and a move back to his hometown spurred an East Texas man to develop a favorite spot back to the place it was when he played ball there and swam in the lake. Lone Star Police Investigator Steven Blythe grew up in Lone Star and the city park was one of his favorite places.
“I grew up here and as a kid I played baseball on both of the fields,” he said. “My family moved near the park in August of 2013. I asked Chief Larry Fleetif he minded if I started working on the  park as far as mowing and weed eating. People began to see how good the park looked, so we kept on going off of everyone’s feedback. We are trying to build the park back up to the way it used to be.”
