The Northeast Texas Community College Board of Trustees met Oct. 28, where they approved several agenda items including that of a budget adjustment.
The college's budget, which was set at $18.4 million, was calculated with the assumption of a five percent decrease in enrollment. Attendance for the fall semester enrollment was slightly higher than the projected, adding $227,890 to the budget. However, due to $426,267 in extra expenses for the Jenzabar software upgrade project, the college projects a net reduction to the fund balance of $218,984 by the end of the college's 2014-2015 fiscal year. NTCC is entering its third month of the fiscal year.
The board approved these budget adjustments presented by Beth Thompson, the college's Vice President for Administrative Services.
