Letter to the Editor

It is a puzzle to me why anyone would be against having an ID to vote. As you know, one must have an  ID for almost everything in life. Then it occurs to me that anyone who is afraid to show an ID must be doing something wrong like being ... dead and still voting. I have read and re-read the letter in The Bee against voter ID and find it rambling and full of half truths and outright falsehoods. Absolutley none of the reasons he gave made any sense. I do not believe anyone wants to keep Blacks, Whites, old and young from voting. I am old enough to have paid the $1 poll tax and had to work two hours for the $1 and was proud to do so. So when someone gripes about having to get an ID, it's funny to me.
