Arrests have been made through several burglary investigations in the area, according to information released by the Morris County Sheriff's Department last week.
On Nov. 3, 2014, Deputy Ross Dickson was assigned a burglary investigation in reference to a home burglary which occurred in the Jenkins Community of Morris County.  Several valuable firearms, tools, a crossbow and other hunting supplies were taken from the home.  Deputy Dickson quickly identified the suspect and located the stolen property, but the victim declined to pursue criminal charges once the suspect was determined.

Then on Nov. 8, 2014, Investigator Robbie Gray was assigned a burglary investigation for a residential burglary on Farm Road 997 in the Jenkins Community.  The investigation determined the suspect to be Gerald Wayne Furlow, 50, of Jenkins.  A felony warrant was issued for his arrest.   Deputies Hershel Stroman and Ross Dickson went to a residence on County Road 2225 Nov. 18 to serve the warrant on Furlow.  While at the residence, Deputy Stroman observed drug paraphernalia in plain view on the front porch.  A search of the property resulted in the recovery of suspected methamphetamines and additional drug paraphernalia.  Furlow was arrested for the outstanding warrant for burglary of a habitation.  Suzanne Marie Morris, 53, also of the Jenkins Community, was placed under arrest for possession of a controlled substance, penalty group one, less than one gram.
