Minister of Church On The Rock As Church On The Rock begins its 24th year of ministry, we are excited as ever about FOLLOWING JESUS AND FISHING FOR MEN…Harvest Is In Our Heart! We want with all of our heart to be committed and devoted followers of Jesus Christ. When asked “which are the greatest commandments?” Jesus answered, “The most important is, ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.” Mar 12:29-31. Loving God and loving others is what being a follower of Jesus is all about. If we don’t get this right, NOTHING else matters. Because we love God and we love others, the Great Commission must be a priority. “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” (Mat 28:19-20 ESV) Being a follower of Jesus involves: 1. Getting BEHIND Jesus 2. Leaving BEHIND our life and 3. Going AFTER other lives.
