Tiger Secure District 16AAA Title With 55-42 Victory Over Mt. Vernon

The Daingerfield Tigers needed a victory over the Mt. Vernon Tigers to secure the District 16AAA title and that they got with a 55-42 win over Mt. Vernon at home. It was obvious from the opening tip that Mt. Vernon was going to try to slow the tempo of the game down on the “Running Tigers From Daingerfield.” Mt. Vernon was successful in the beginning of the game as the first quarter would end in a 10-10 tie. Daingerfield would then open things up in the second quarter out scoring Mt. Vernon 17 to 9 and taking a 27-19 lead in at the half.
