Entries being accepted for Hughes Springs Art Show

Entries are now being accepted for the 2nd Annual Hughes Springs Art Show, which will be held March 20 and 21. The event will be held at The Legacy Event Center, 122 East First Street in Hughes Springs. There will be an adult and youth division. Categories for the adult division are abstract/ contemporary, animal, floral, still life, portrait and landscape. Cash prizes will be awarded for first through third place in each category. A $200 prize will be awarded for overall Best in Show. Entries must be an original work that is no more than three years old. Pieces can be no larger than 3’x3’ framed, securely framed and wired for hanging. Saw tooth hangers will not be accepted. There will be a $10 fee per entry. All entries may be priced for sale or marked “NFS.” The youth division will be broken down by grade level: elementary, junior high and high school. Cash prizes for first through third place in each age division will be awarded as well as a overall Best In Show with a $50 prize.
