Steel Magnolias headed to the Whatley Center

A stellar cast headlines the upcoming Theatre Northeast production of the celebrated and beloved comedy/drama Steel Magnolias by Robert Harling. The show runs Feb. 26, 27 and 28 at 7:30 p.m. and March 1 at 2:05 p.m. in the on stage theatre of the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts on the campus of Northeast Texas Community College. 
Warm-hearted and crackling with wit, wisdom and abundant charm and humor, Steel Magnolias has been described as the quintessential story of family, friendship and steely Southern sisterhood. “Working with this wonderful cast has been such a blessing. The play is one of the finest examples that I know of a true ensemble play. Each character is so vividly written—each relationship so essential to the whole—it is really a marvel to behold,” Director Douglas Hoppock, said.
