Math team finishes in top three for two weeks straight

The math team from Daingerfield Junior High has made a run through February, finishing in the top three for two weeks straight. The team competed in Atlanta on Feb. 7 and in their home meet on Feb. 14, placing third and second, respectively. In the Atlanta meet, Daingerfield placed third behind Queen City and Atlanta. Individuals placing in the top ten were: Number Sense – 7th grade: Victor Gonzalez 3rd; Justice Dorman 4th; Kiara Robinson 9th 6th grade: Riley Scholl 4th; Laura Carter 7th; Natalie Beasley 8th Calculator – 8th grade: Jansen Laney 4th; 7th grade: Justice Dorman 1st; Victor Gonzalez 2nd; Jamie Nix 5th; Ryan Lewis 8th; Nakeisha Robinson 9th; 6th grade: Natalie Beasley 3rd; Laura Carter 4th; Riley Scholl 5th; Ebony Chalk 8th General Math – 7th grade: Justice Dorman 1st; Victor Gonzalez 6th; Jamie Nix 10th ; 6th grade: Laura Carter 4th; Riley Scholl 6th Science – 7th grade: Justice Dorman 4th; 6th grade: Laura Carter 1st Also competing for the team at Atlanta was Alivia Ragsdale. For the Daingerfield meet, Daingerfield was bested only by Queen City.
