Services for Mrs. Myrtle Grace Lawrence Sparks, 95, of Daingerfield, were held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 5 at Lilley’s Chapel Church of Christ in Daingerfield with Bro. Johnny Coleman officiating. Burial followed at Clark Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs. Mrs. Sparks was born September 28, 1919 to John Albert and Mary Elizabeth Truitt Lawrence in Mont Belview, Texas. She went to her heavenly home April 29. She was preceded in death by her dear husband of 58 years, Lee Roy Sparks; her parents; two brothers, Luther Daniel Lawrence and Ernest Kade Lawrence; and three sisters, Lorene Elizabeth Northwerthy, Dora Kroger, and Pearl Beatrice Hunter. She leaves to cherish her memory two children, Mary Elizabeth Jones and Thomas Edward Sparks; one brother, Alvin Lee “Pete” Lawrence; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; nine nephews; five nieces; two very special caregivers, Sam and Nan Phillips; plus all of her beloved church family at Lilley’s Chapel
