Letter to the Editor
Politicians have failed their constituents
Dear Editor:
Mr. Obama shuts down White House tours to the public, and the military stops the college tuition for our soldiers, cuts funding for meat inspectors, border control, education, defense, air traffic control, Transportation Security Administration, etc., etc., due to the so-called “Sequester,” then, gives $500 million to a terrorist organization known as the Palestinian Authority.
During February, Vice-President Joe Biden gives $250 million, plus many F-16 aircraft and Abrams tanks to Egypt. While Mr. Biden was on this trip he stayed in the Hotel Intercontinental, a 5-Star hotel near Louvre, France at a cost of $585,000.50 for one night.
Then to England, where his group spent $459,388.65 at the Hyatt Regency for one night in London, plus over $200,000 for limo services to and from the airport.
No price tag yet on the Spring Break trip for First Daughters, Malia and Sasha, to the Bahamas. Last year Malia took a trip to Mexico at a cost of $115,500.87, according to Judicial Watch.
And, let’s not forget the First Lady, Michelle, who will be turning 50 next January. A party is already in the planning stages with invites to such personalities as, Beyonce at a cost to be determined.
Here are just some of our president’s “clean energy” companies funded with our money that are faltering or bankrupt:
Evergreen Solar - $25 million, Spectra-Watt - $500,000, Solyndra - $535 million, Beacon Power - $43 million and Sun-Power - $1.2 million.
From their lavished lifestyle and free money to failed companies and funding our enemies, it’s very evident that they are trying to crash our economy. Yet, Mr. Obama says we do not have a spending problem. Well, duh.
Our beloved country is deeply in debt with no relief in sight, and Mr. Obama wants more taxes for the working to give to the lazy and other countries?
Whatever happened to the “Checks & Balances” system we had for so many years past? Do we not have oversight committees anymore?
It seems that our elected officials are spending money like there will be no tomorrow, bankrupting America while at the same time making themselves millionaires, forcing the working class Americans to bear the burdens.
It seems that their main interests are banning guns and getting re-elected. Our elected politicians have failed their constituents, miserably.
If we are to survive as the leader of the Free World, the time has come to clean out that “big white barn” on both side of the isle in Washington, called the Capitol.
