Oct 24 Morris County Breast Cancer Awareness Fish Fry The Daingerfield Fire Department will host a Fish Fry benefitting the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. They will begin serving at 11 a.m., and continue until they run out of fish. Fish will be cooked by Ennis Williams, Wayne Campbell, and friends.
Oct 24 Pumpkin Glow/Trunk or Treat Hughes Springs will host their annual Pumpkin Glow and Trunk of Treat, but due to weather, the locations have been changed. The Pumpkin Glow will be from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. the high school old gym and cafeteria. The Trunk or Treat will begin at 5 p.m., in the high school auditorium. Contact the Chamber of Commerce in Hughes Springs to reserve a spot in the Trunk or Treat!
Oct 24 NTCC Scare Affair NTCC will host their 28th Annual Scare Affair from 6-9 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 24 on the plaza of the main NTCC campus (located on FM 1735 near Chapel Hill ISD). There will be free candy for all trick-or- treaters, low-cost games for all ages, a costume contest with cash prizes and much more! A haunted house will be open until 10:30 p.m. Registration for the costume contest will be come and go from 6:30-7:30 p.m. in the Student Union Building (SUB). Oct 25 Revival The Next Level Church in Daingerfield will host a Revival Evangelist Bobby Wade. Services will be at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Following the 6 p.m. service, the church will host a Family Fun Night with food, fellowship, and fun. Oct 26-30 Reverend D.A. Hill and New Hope Missionary Baptist in Daingerfield invite you to their Annual Fall Revival. Services will be held at 7:30 p.m. nightly, and Reverend J.D. Palmer, pastor of Mount Olive Baptist Church in Longview, will be the evangelist for the week.
Oct 26-28 Revival Rocky Branch Missionary Baptist Church will host their Fall Revival on October 26-28, with services at 7 p.m. nightly. The church is Hwy 259 N of Daingerfield. Bro. Charles (Rex) Newman will be the evangelist, and Bro. Arnold Ellington will be the pianist.
Oct 30 Chili Supper The Hughes Springs Masonic Lodge will host a Chili Supper and Prize Drawing at the Hughes Springs High School Parking Lot. The supper will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Contact Shaun Davidson at 903-285-4865 for more information.
Oct 27 Free Concert There will be a free concert by Adler and Hearne at the school auditorium. There public concert will be at 6 p.m.
Oct 25 60th Anniversary Service The Bible Baptist Church in Hughes Springs is proud to be celebrating 60 years of God’s grace, faithfulness and love through ministry and worship in the community and surrounding area. We will be commemorating this anniversary on Sunday, October 25th with special services at 11:00 AM and a Carry-In Dinner following the services. Oct 31 Harvest Festival Shady Grove Baptist Church will be hosting a Harvest Festival, October 31, from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Come on out for lots of games, food and fun! The church is located at 4410 CR 4950 in Cason.
Oct 31,Nov 1 Theatre Performance The Community Theatre of East Texas will be hosting a Halloween Dessert Theatre with performances of “You Have the Right to Remain Dead.” Tickets will only be available for presale, and seats are limited. Contact the Hughes Springs City Hall for more information or to purchase tickets.
Oct 31 Health Fair The Daingerfield Area Health Fair will begin at 9:30 a.m., at Daingerfield High School. There will be health screenings, door prizes, a blood drive through Carter Blood Center, and much more. Lunch will be provided.
