The scariest show on television
A Patriot's Opinion By Jim Snyder Now, some would argue as to what is the scariest show on television these days. I’m sure many would say it was The Walking Dead, or maybe Z Nation. Others might say its Haven, American Horror Story, Hannibal, The Vampire Diaries, or Penny Dreadful. But I think that it is none of the above. So let’s look at what I think is the scariest show on television. The scariest show on television in my opinion is Watter’s World on the O’Reilly Factor, which airs on Fox News. For those that don’t know what I am talking about, Fox News correspondent Jesse Watters goes out and does man on the street interviews in cities and on college campuses. He asks young people what “should” be simple questions about history and current events and people. The scary part of all of this is how stupid the large majority of these people are. A lot of times Jesse will show them a picture of a current or past president or government official and ask them who this is. 95% of these so called college educated people draw complete blanks when it comes time to answer. These are questions that they should have learned the answers to in junior high history class. It scares me to think that these young people that Jesse Watters interviews got accepted into college with little or no knowledge of current events. I watched an episode the other week where the people interviewed didn’t know w h o George Washington or Ronald Reagan was. Oh, but they know who Kim Kardashian is, or who some obscure musician is. Watching Watters World is definitely funny, but in reality it is also sad that we have an entire generation of these folks who really have no clue about what is going on in the world around them. But it’s not simply that they don’t know the information, but they don’t care to know. But the scariest part of watching Watters World is the fact that 99.9% of the people who are interviewed are eligible to vote. And that should scare every one of us.
