The ETMC Mobile Digital Mammography Unit will be in Ore City on Jan. 27 in the Middle School/High School Parking lot. To schedule a mammogram, call 800- 648-8141, then press 3. Please contact Jessie Bell regarding a special program for women without insurance.
Jan 29 Spelling Bee
The Daingerfield Lone Star Educational Foundation will host the 2016 Champion Spelling Bee on Jan. 29 at the Daingerfield High School Cafeteria. Jan 30 Kid’s Fish Day
Lake Bob Sandline will host the 27th Annual Kid’s Fish Day on Saturday, Jan. 30 at the park. Session One will be from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., and Session Two will be from 1 a.m. to 3 p.m. Each child will be awarded a prize. For more information, contact the park at 903-572-5531.
Jan 30 Hughes Springs Chamber Banquet
The Hughes Springs Annual Crystal Globe Awards and Banquet will be held on Jan. 30 at 6:30 p.m. The event will be held at the CLC of First Baptist Church. Tickets will be available soon at Med Shop and City Hall. The theme of this year’s banquet is “A Luau in Small Town Paradise.”

Daingerfield-Lone Star Dixie Youth Baseball & ASA Softball signups will be held from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Daingerfield Country Club in Daingerfield on the following Saturdays: Jan. 30, Feb. 6, 13 and 20. Work days at Irvin Park will be held on the same dates and times.
Feb 03 Open House and Ribbon Cutting
There will be an Open House and Ribbon Cutting at Doug Reeder Law Firm, located on Highway 259 in Daingerfield from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. The Ribbon Cutting will take place at 12 p.m., and the Open House will be Come and Go, with refreshments served.

Feb 06 Ladies Self Defense Seminar
The Killyon School of Isshin Ryu will be hosting a Ladies Self Defense Seminar at 1 p.m. The seminar will be held at the West Elementary Gym in Daingerfield. The seminar will be for all women, ages 12 and up. Contact Sensei Paula Killyon at 903-736- 6616 for more information.
Feb 06 Father-Daughter Dance
The Eighth Annual Father- Daughter Valentine Dance will be from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Feb. 6 at the Legacy, and Event Center. Tickets will be available soon at the library, City Hall, Med Shop, and the school offices. Pictures, refreshments, and a DJ will be provided.
Feb 07 Outreach Dinner
