More Tigers sign letters of intent

Although National Signing Day came and went on Feb. 3, that does not mean that athletes cannot continue to sign letters of intent to play their respective sports in college. After having seven Tigers sign on Signing Day, Daingerfield High School has had seven more athletes sign, as well.

On Feb. 9, the Tigers had four more football players sign letters of intent to Texas College in Tyler. Joining Tydarius Brannon, De’Andre Daniel, Kadayous Betts, Justin Taylor, and Recus Hayes in the fall will be Keylan Fomby and Tristin Stern. Both Stern and Fomby played wide receiver and defensive back for the Tigers in their 2015 campaign. Dominique Allen and Darrian Terry also signed their letters of intent to Texas College on Feb. 9. Allen played tight end and defensive end for the Tigers, while Terry lined up at the offensive and defensive line positions for Daingerfield. Rickey Lee, who was unavailable on Feb. 9, also signed a letter of intent for Texas College, giving Daingerfield 10football players with intent to play football for the Steers.

Letters of intent are not limited to football. The Daingerfield Lady Tigers also had two young ladies sign dual-sport letters of intent on Feb. 9. Unique Walker signed on for volleyball and track, while Meme Black signed hers for volleyball and softball. Both ladies will be attending Texas college, as well.
