According to Titus Regional CEO John Allen, “part of our health system’s commitment to the community is to expand the capacity and ease for primary care access in our region. Our most recent milestone is the addition of Internal Medicine Associates at Titus as part of the primary care offerings at our Community Care Center, located one block southwest of the main hospital.”

“As part of the expansion project, we are pleased to announce that Dr. Silver Sisneros, board certified Internist, has joined Internal Medicine Associates at Titus. The focus of internal medicine is the diagnosis and management of even the most complex health issues, such as diabetes and high blood pressure, to name a few. Dr. Sisneros offers over twenty years of expertise and is also bilingual.”

Dr. Sisneros attended Clarendon College as a scholarship recipient in the areas of English and Rodeo, prior to receiving his Bachelor of Science in Biology at Oklahoma Panhandle State University in Goodwell, Oklahoma. He attended medical school at Western University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine in Pomona, California. His residency and internship in Internal Medicine/Primary Care was completed through the University of California at San Francisco School of Medicine in Oakland, California.

One of his many interests center upon ranching and ultimately led to his move to Mount Pleasant. In his previous home state of New Mexico, grass and water sources were limited and a state income tax was present. With those needs prioritized, he began a search for land in an area where he could raise his Ankole- Watusi cattle, as well as his nine year-old son Cole, while practicing medicine in an underserved community. While traveling from Abilene to Tyler then across to Texarkana, Dr. Sisneros found himself in Mount Pleasant. According to Dr. Sisneros, “the first thing I saw coming into town was Priefert’s. Having been in the ranch and rodeo scene for many years, I was very familiar with their brand and reputation. I would drive 4 hours from my home in New Mexico to buy and transport back their items from a dealer in the construction of my previous farm. That presence intrigued me. When I returned home, I researched more about the community and reached out to the hospital regarding any potential opportunities for a physician. Now we are here, working on building a new farm and working on building a thriving practice for patients. It is very fulfilling for me to provide personalized and comprehensive care, while working collaboratively with other medical staff, and look forward to being part of this wonderful community.”

Dr. Sisneros joins Dr. Vandana Shah and Teleshia Coleman, FNP-C at Internal Medicine and Nephrology at Titus. You may schedule an appointment with him by calling 903-577-WELL.
