D-field Tigers dominate all-district selections with 10

Fresh off a season where they advanced to the Regional tournament for the first time in 18 years, Coach Curtis Lewis and his Tigers were well represented in District 16AAA selections.

District Most Valuable Player honors were bestowed on Keke Chism, while fellow senior Deonte’ Allen was named the Defensive Player of the Year.

Daingerfield had three Tigers named to both the first and the second All District teams. Denzel Mims, Rickey Lee, and Mikal Reeves received first team honors. Keylan Fomby, Reggie Jeter, and Darrian Terry received second team honors. Daingerfield coaches Curtis Lewis and Bruce Harris both received Coach of the Year honors.

The Tigers went undefeated in district play, winning the district crown with an 11-0 record. Daingerfield finished the 2015-2016 season at 21-6, falling to Life Red Oak in the Regional Tournament.
