Cass County Court publishes list of March cases disposed

The County Court of Cass County has released their monthly list of indictments for March. Criminal District Attorney Randal Lee released the following sentences handed down by presiding judge Becky Wilbanks.

Bryant Ray Tucker, of Hughes Springs, was indicted on a charge of Driving while Intoxicated, and had community supervision revoked. He was sentenced on March 2 to 180 days in County Jail.

Decorian Quantex Robbins, of Avinger, was sentenced on March 1 on a charge of Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle. He was sentenced to 20months in the State Jail Division of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. Robbins was also ordered to pay $314 in court costs.

Guadalupe Montalvo Reyes, of Hughes Springs, had his community supervision revoked for Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity, Burglary. He was sentenced on Feb. 29, adjudicated guilty, and sentenced to 5 years in the Institutional Division of TDCJ.

Brandon Desmer Davis Lindsey, of Hughes Springs, was sentenced on March 2 on the crime of Sexual Assault of a Child. He was ordered to serve 10 years of deferred adjudication. Lindsey also must pay a $1,000 fine plus $1,123 in court cost. He must perform 400 hours of community service restitution, at the rate of 20 hours per month, and have no contact with the victim. Lindsey also must have a GPS installed for a minimum of six month, paying all cost incurred.

Brendan Thomas Huggins was charged with Assault causing bodily injury, family violence with previous convictions and was sentenced on March 1 to 10 years in the Institutional Division, suspended with five years community service. Huggins must pay a $500 fine plus $348 in court cost, and shall perform 300 hours of community service at the rate of 20 hours per month. Huggins must also complete eight months of the Batters Intervention Program, paying all costs incurred. He must also have a Drug and Alcohol Dependency evaluation and complete a Substance Abuse Evaluation, including any alcohol or drug treatment program as directed by the probation department, incurring all cost associated with the evaluations.
