Charline Dodson Coulter passed away Monday, May 2. She was born July 13, 1925, in Wright City, Oklahoma, and currently resided in Little Rock, AR. The Good Lord decided that Monday would be a great day to join the love of her life, Dick Coulter, so, that they could celebrate what was their 69th wedding anniversary.

Charline was a 40+ year resident of Daingerfield, TX, and also lived in Longview, Hot Springs, AR, Lockesburg, AR, and De Queen, AR.

Charline was a survivor and full of determination in her every endeavour. She was an educator who taught in Mount Ida, AR, Hughes Springs, TX and Daingerfield, TX, for many years; she began college at Henderson State University in Arkadelphia, and graduated from Texas A&M-Commerce She was actively involved in the First Methodist Church of Daingerfield, Pandora Study Club and PEO.

After Dick passed away, she turned to her new partner, her computer. She wrote Poetry and Haiku, learned and joined Facebook. Her niece, Margaret, helped to her have a book of her Poetry published, a true highlight of her life. She also began painting and became quite accomplished in that talent also.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Murphy (Dick) Coulter, Jr, her son, Richard Murphy Coulter III; her parents, Charles and Thelma Dodson; her sister, Diane Dodson McGhee; and her brother, Dr. C. Dwight Dodson, and her niece, Nancy Lynn Dodson Peters.

She is survived by her daughter Beth and husband, Matthew Lanagan; Grand- daughter, Betty Caraline Coulter, Great Grand-Daughter, Amelia Charline Alzada Coulter; Sister in law, Nancy Allen Dodson, Brother- inlaw, Terry McGhee and , Nieces & Nephews, Dana (Tom ) Dykman, Lee Ann Dodson, Allen (Denise) Dodson, and Margaret McGhee, Jane Ellen (Jerry) LaBounty, Nancy Coulter r, Charles Mack Coulter, and Special Cousins: Ann (Dan) Clemans, John (Donna) Coulter, Joe (Katie)Coulter and a whole tribe of great nieces and nephews’, Erin, Kim, Sarah, Daniel, Hannah, Cody, Gerard, Lisa.

Charline lived by the Serenity Prayer and various verses of the Bible. She loved to travel and Dick and Charline enjoyed many cruises together.

We wish to thank the staff of Hickory Heights Health and Rehabilitation for providing her care for the past few years. They kept her going and kept her involved. She made many special friends and it became a second home for her.

A graveside memorial service will be held at the Coulter Memorial Cemetery in Lockesburg, AR on Saturday, May 14 at 1:30 pm, followed by a visitation in the Fellowship Building at the First Methodist Church in Lockesburg, Arkansas.
