Woman lives out life-long dream of traveling, visits East Texas

There are really two kinds of worlds out there, according to Katie Cooper.  There is the world you see on television, and there is the actual world she is seeing from the back of her mule while riding across the country. She traveled through East Texas last week.

Ms. Cooper said this is a lifelong dream.

“I wanted to do this since I was a kid, and for my 50th birthday I decided if I ever was going to do it I had to start planning,” she said. “I’m not getting younger, and the world is crazier, and I wanted to know what it was like without all the noise. I wanted to connect with the world in a whole different way with an animal as transportation.
