June 22-24 13 and 14 year olds Baseball Camp

The Pittsburg Pirates are hosting a Baseball camp for 13 and 14 year old boys and girls. Cost is $40 per player, and includes a t-shirt. Registration will be onsite beginning at 7:30 a.m., and the camp will be from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The camp is open to baseball and softball players from all surrounding towns, and is open to baseball and softball players. June 23 Dru Woods, storyteller

The Hughes Springs Area Library invites children of all ages to come hear storyteller Dru Woods as part of the library’s summer program. Admission is free, and the program will begin at 10:30 a.m.

June 23 Rancho Condarco Petting Zoo

The Friends of the Daingerfield Public Library will be hosting the Rancho Condarco Petting Zoo at the Morris County Annex at 10 a.m. The event, sponsored by the Friends of the Daingerfield Public Library, is free to the public, and all children are invited.

June 25 11th Annual Fireman’s Sporting Clay Challenge

The Eleventh Annual Fireman’s Sporting Clay Challenge, benefitting the Crims Chapel and Rocky Branch Volunteer Fire Departments, will be held June 25. The event will be held at Prairie Creek Sporting Clays Ranch in Gladewater. June 30 TxDoT Safety program

The Hughes Springs Area Library will host a TxDoT Safety program for children of all ages beginning at 10:30 a.m. The program is free, and will be held at the Hughes Springs Library.

Friday, July 1

Celebrate Independence Day with free hot dogs, free snow cones, and free popcorn, topped off with a fireworks show. Friday, July 1st, Avinger Community Park. Starts at 6 p.m., fireworks at nightfall. Music by Mike Gilmore. Bring chairs or blankets to sit on. Sponsored by Avinger Chamber of Commerce.

July 11-13 Adult Vacation Bible School First Baptist Church in Daingerfield will be hosting an Adult VBS on July 11 through July 13. A meal will begin at 5:30 p.m., and Bible school begins at 6 p.m. Nursery will be provided. Please RSVP to 903-645-2269 to RSVP for the meal.
