Daingerfield PD busy with arrests

On July 1, Officer Brandon Fulcher received a call of a drunk driver. Officer Fulcher made contact with driver, Stormy Cline, a 25-year-old from Naples. During the investigation, Officer Fulcher determined the driver to be intoxicated, for which she was arrested. Cline was charged with Driving While Intoxicated with a child under 15 years of age, which is a state jail felony.

On July 5, Sergeant Corey Parr received a call in regards to a suspicious vehicle. Upon making contact with the driver Charles Douglas, a 54year-old from Naples, Sgt. Parr determined that Douglas was intoxicated. Douglas was arrested and booked for Driving While Intoxicated, a Misdemeanor B and Resisting Arrest or Transport, which is a Class A Misdemeanor.

On July 7, Sergeant Corey Parr answered a call regarding a crash. Upon investigating the crash he contacted one of the drivers, Eric Holsopple, a 34year-old from Daingerfield. It was determined that Holsopple was intoxicated, and he was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated, second offense, a Misdemeanor A.

On July 10, Sergeant Corey Parr conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle regarding a reckless driving and contact was made with driver Billy Tarver, a 63year-old from Daingerfield. It was determined that Tarver was intoxicated. Tarver was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated, third or more, which is a State Jail Felony.

“We want to thank each and every citizen that called in on these drivers as they possibly saved a life. It is always rewarding to have citizen’s help in keeping the roadways safe from drunk drivers,” said Daingerfield Police Chief Tracey Climer.
